A “matching” decompilation has a stronger constraint than functional compatibility: the recovered C/C++ must rebuild into the original machine code. That makes each contribution an exercise in careful inference—reading PowerPC assembly, recovering data layout and control flow, then shaping source so the period toolchain produces the required binary.
I contribute to zeldaret/tp, the community effort to decompile Twilight Princess. The GameCube codebase is completely matching, while work continues on linking all translation units and on the Wii versions. It is where I practise the habits that carry back into systems work: being precise about ABI and layout, making small hypotheses testable, and using the generated binary as the final arbiter rather than trusting source-level plausibility.
